Once you have completed scoring on an item you may have authority to recommend this assessment/response as an Exemplar.  The recommendation process is called an Escalation.

NOTE:  Notice that all the scores are complete for this item.  The  button will not become an active button until all items are complete.

Recommending an Exemplar

1. Click on  to start the process.
2. This adds a new button to the right of each score and adds a new  button to the bottom of the page.
3. Choose one or all of the scores to be escalated by clicking the  button.
4. Select the  button to send the requests to the administrators to review.  Once they approve the recommendation, this response will become an available Exemplar for the item and response number.

NOTE:  Notice that the  button will not become an active button until at least one of the scores has been selected for escalation by clicking on a  button.
