Taking a Test as a Student

1. Access the assessment through the ADAM secure browser.  The ADAM Icon should be available to you regardless of the type of device you are using to take the assessment.

2. After entering the lockdown browser, you will see the Welcome screen. Enter the Test Code provided by your proctor, then press .

3. Enter the Identifier assigned to you by your proctor, then press .

4. Confirm that you are taking the correct test (does the description under Test look correct?) and that the Identifier code you used is linked to you (is your name under You?).  If either of these are incorrect or if you are not sure...talk to the proctor before you move ahead. 

Otherwise, press.

5. To start the test, press  at the bottom of the screen.

The screen below shows all the tools you can use during a test session.

Text To Speech

If text to speech is enabled, you will see the text to speech tool bar when starting the test.

Finishing the Section (or Test)

Once you have answered all the questions, click on the  button.  The button is displayed on the bottom right of the page (where you navigate between questions).

The Review screen displays buttons that represent the questions you answered or have not answered.

6.  Review the answers to your question by clicking on the question number

• Questions you have answered are grey with a black line at the bottom (see questions 2 and 3)
• Questions you have flagged are represented with a flag
• Questions you have not attempted are represented with the question number 
• Passages do not require an answer, so they will just show "Passage" indicating that no action is required

7.  Click the  button to complete this section (if there are multiple sections).  If this test has only a single section...click the  button.

8. Once you have completed a section of the exam you will wait for your proctor to approve moving onto the next section.  If there is only a single section...your testing is complete.
